COEXISTENCE
Coexistence, produced in 2001, brings together a collection of works based on images from old postcards. These widely distributed media produced visible female figures while depriving them of their identity.
Through various media—photographs, henna screen printing, light boxes—the project questions the conditions under which these faces and bodies appear and disappear. The aim is not to restore a stable identity, but to shift the gaze towards what remains uncertain, partial or erased.
